About Shawna Chase
Shawna Chase is the founder of ImpactMS, an Atlanta-based social impact design practice, and the creator of Livin'in, a civic infrastructure platform.
She designs how social systems see, move, and account for the people they serve, working as a solutions architect for organizations carrying more demand than capacity.
Her background runs through music and theatre into computer science and two decades of building software products. She studied theatre in college and has worked in community productions, in staging, lighting, and costume design, the crafts of what gets seen, how people move through a room, and how they're read on sight. She asks the same three questions of social systems now.
Topics: civic technology, cooperative economics, social impact design, arts as infrastructure, community-centered measurement, and bootstrapped social entrepreneurship.
